Summary: The staff was excellent. Offered a LOT of info about the property, area, etc. The dining was excellent. Our dinners were delicious. Complimentary breakfast was better than many that I have paid for. A server called in sick the morning that we were there. If we hadn't been told, we probably wouldn't have known. The staff was that good, and the morning view of the lake from porch was awesome. The room was small but everything worked. The bed was a little firm but that's a personal preference. Outside our door was a screened in porch with a great view of the lake and rockers. There was easy access to the beach and a "pier" with Adirondack chairs. The only negative is that windows were single pane. Noise from traffic on the road (the main artery in the Champlain Islands and immediately next to the building) might be a problem if you are a light sleeper or like to sleep late. We visited during foliage season and found lots of interesting things to do. We plan to return next summer when the bikes (which were in use) and kayaks (which were not) will get us out.
