Overlooking Hatchet Cove, this classic coastal Maine 4BR home boasts beautiful ocean views and quick access to a quaint secluded beach, a mere hundred yards away. A large lawn surrounded by towering spruce trees adds an extra layer of privacy and charm.
Affectionately known as Green Gables Cottage, this spacious 4,540 square foot abode affords ample room for the whole family. Sleep soundly in plush queen beds in all four bedrooms, host family movie nights in the living area, play ping-pong in the sunroom, and take in the incredible vistas from the wraparound deck and balcony.
LIVING AREAS
Rich wood paneling and hardwood floors create a cozy vibe throughout the cottage.
Spend time together in the open living area: unwind on the comfy sofa or relax while watching favorite shows on the 32” TV.
An expansive sunroom offers even more entertaining space, complete with a built-in sectional sofa, a picnic table, two rocking chairs, and kids’ toys. Play a friendly round of ping-pong, or simply take in the sweeping views of the cove.
KITCHEN & DINING
Create tasty dishes in the newly remodeled kitchen, replete with granite countertops and a full suite of high-end appliances, including a five-burner gas range. A large kitchen island provides plenty of space to prep meals as well as seating for four.
When it’s time to eat, gather at the six-person dining table, or head to the sunroom to enjoy your meals with a view.
BEDROOMS & BATHS
This two-story home comfortably sleeps up to eight guests in four bedrooms on the top floor. Two full bathrooms are each stocked with a complimentary starter supply of toiletries and bath amenities.
All four sun-drenched bedrooms are furnished with comfortable queen-size beds and offer beautiful views of the peaceful surroundings. The two bedrooms on the eastern side of the cottage have private access to a balcony -- settle into the rocking chair and take in the breathtaking vistas while enjoying a cup of tea.
You’ll find a tub/shower combination in the bathroom upstairs and a walk-in shower in the downstairs bathroom.
OUTDOOR AREAS
Enjoy the fresh coastal breeze and sweeping views from the wraparound covered deck on the first floor, outfitted with four rocking chairs.
As evening falls, fire up the charcoal grill for a family barbecue.
EXTRA AMENITIES & DETAILS
Extra perks include cable TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, a DVD player, sports gear, a washer/dryer, and parking for three cars in the driveway.
Please note that the cottage does not have central cooling or heat, although rarely needed with Maine’s mild summer temperatures. The fireplace is inoperable at this time; space heaters are available for chilly nights.
