The home is located in a peaceful, low-density area with lots of open space teeming with birds and wildlife. We enjoy some of the best bird-watching on the Eastern Seaboard so if you forget your binoculars don’t worry, we have a pair ready for you. Eagles, osprey, blue herons, pelicans, and seagulls fishing in the wide-open waters or feeding on the sandflats are just some of the birds you may encounter each day. From time to time, you will even spot schools of dolphin swimming just offshore. Our home is located in a “Dark Skies” area so evening moon and nightly stargazing are incredible. As are the spectacular nightly sunsets.
The large back deck overlooking the Chesapeake Bay is the perfect area for alfresco dining, lingering over a morning cup of coffee, or relaxing with an evening cocktail. For quiet, private time there is a cozy library with a gas fireplace, a peaceful upstairs sitting area, or lower level patio seating to take advantage of golden sunshine, blue skies, and pristine, sparkling water views.
During the summer, rental companies are available to deliver paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes so that you can enjoy your favorite watersports. Comfortable mattresses, soft, high-end sheets, and plush towels are provided. We’ve tried to think of everything we would want to have in a dream vacation getaway and have done our best to provide it for you.
