Unwind and relax after a busy life in the city. Get comfortable and enjoy plenty of extra room at this spacious place. Awake refreshed and ready for a day of kayaking, bicycling and or exploring the island.
We have a deep water dock (4 houses down from the house) for crabbing, fishing and boat mooring or just relaxing
The space
Our newly renovated non-smoking home is in the village of Ewell, on Smith Island Maryland. A short walk to Smith Island bakery, museum, gift shops, church and restaurants. It has a three bedrooms, 1.5 baths, an outdoor shower and a fully equipped kitchen. Bicycles, kayaks, canoe and fishing rods are also available.

Summary: Took my grandson for a weekend trip to Smith Island to celebrate his HS graduation. My daughter, also, accompanied us, since I am a 90 year old "Grammy", and need some assistance. Our cottage was clean, comfortable and had all of our needs. The host, Kim, was extremely attentive, and made our dinner the night we arrived so we could just relax. I would highly recommend Idle Hour as the place to stay on Smith Island. Pat Reynolds, Ellicott City, MD
