1 Bedroom House in Woodstock
This is a small and cozy 1870s post-and-beam restored barn and located on an estate that was the home of Woodstock artist Judson Smith, who used it for one of his studios in the 1940s and 1950s. Later, his daughters converted it to a guest cottage. The drops of paint on the floor from Smith's work more than half a century ago are preserved in the carefully restored and refinished hardwood floor. This vintage antique post-and-beam barn has been fully renovated while still preserving its original charm—it boasts a new bath, a new kitchen, refinished antique hardwood floors, a queen-sized pillow-top mattress in the sleeping loft. The sleeping loft is accessed by a ladder. Recently, an additional queen-sized Murphy bed was added to the cottage, which most guests seem to prefer.===============================There is Wi-Fi, no password needed, a stereo music player and a TV with a built-in DVD player- no cable. The cottage rental overlooks a lovely trout stream and faces the river and a 75-acre park with a two-mile walking trail just on the other side of the river. The river, which goes upstream, loops back through the forest to the edge of the property. If the river is high, glampers can access the trail head by going into town, behind the outdoor Shakespeare stage next to the Woodstock town offices.Glampers will have access to Wi-Fi, an outdoor shower and sink. There is a room nearby for guests in the tipi with a fridge, desk, and electricity. This glamping site in New York is pet-friendly, as well as kid and family-friendly. Glampers are welcome to bring their own sleeping bags, but they will be provided with towels, washcloths, bed linens and quilts
