From the outside, this home is unassuming, but when you walk through the door you will be captivated by the stunning woodwork that supports and defines this warm and delightful home. The open floor plan lends itself to family gatherings and evenings spent around the fire along with chatting and cooking in the adjacent country kitchen. On warm evenings, the french doors open onto the balcony overlooking the green lush fields leading down to the creek, and to the woods lining the edge of the property. If you are feeling energetic after dinner take a walk along the miles of mown trails; if you are in the mood for an adventure cross the creek and continue your stroll through the wooded farm border and along the stream (bring your waterproof boots :!). Back at the homestead there is plenty of room to spread out, with 2 master suites, one on both first and second floors, and 2 additional bedrooms on the bottom floor. The first floor suite features a light-filled bedroom overlooking the bucolic rolling fields and trees, with a master bath containing a large, 2 head walk-in shower as well as an adjacent laundry, and designer closet. The upstairs suite features a soaring wooden atrium for the bedroom ceiling, and a large bath complete with Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The 2nd floor is completed by an open loft with large desk, and can be used as a work area, or as a place to hideaway and just read or relax with a cup of tea or glass of wine. The lowest level rooms feature a forest theme which is like a fairy tale come to life, and a Star Wars room in which the force is quite strong! For kids the trampoline, tree house, and long driveway for riding bikes and scooters have great appeal, as do the additional toys (pogo stick anyone?? ) and acres of land on which to run and play! For the inclined adults, there is a canoe or kayak for paddling along the scenic pond. In the spring and summer flowers abound in the lush landscaping, and the outdoor seating areas are perfect for relaxing and reflecting. In the fall and winter the jet-filled hot tub provides a marvelous place to relax, refresh, and appreciate all the beauty around you. Outings might include Claiborne Farms, The Kentucky Horse Park, the incomparable Keeneland, the Bourbon Trail, local shopping at the adorable Paris shops, The Ark Encounter, or hiking at Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge!
