Small, cozy & thoughtfully designed by mother/daughter architect & interior designer, the cottage is a stylish comfortable retreat to relax & recharge in nature.
Purchased and renovated during the pandemic, our family of women would love to share our humble little dream of the perfect getaway with you.
The space
Offering you both modern comforts as well as our eclectic European design charm, the house has been updated with an open floor plan, refinished original wood floors and a stylish hand-built kitchen with new cabinets & appliances. The living area has a big picture window so you will always feel close to nature.
The cottage can accommodate up to 4 people with two small but cozy bedrooms, each with a Queen size bed and corner windows showcasing the dreamy view of the forest. There is a desk in one of the bedrooms where you can spend some time writing or working remotely. The beautiful new bathroom has a tub/shower and radiant heated floors. The kitchen is stocked with basic pantry items like oil, spices, coffee and tea for your use.
A brand new mini-split heating/cooling system will ensure a comfortable indoor temperature in every season. From the kitchen door you can step out onto the patio area for dining, lounging and enjoying nature.
Though quiet and secluded, there is so much to do in the surrounding areas with plenty of opportunity for fun outdoor activities any time of year. Enjoy the proximity to hiking, Mohonk Mountain house, rock climbing in the Shawangunks, the Ashokan Reservoir or Minnewaska State Park. Take in nearby historic sites, biking, kayaking, tubing, swimming holes, and leaf peeping, or spend time at the ski slopes of Belleayre and Hunter Mountain which are about an hour away.
Accord and the surrounding areas are known for its abundance of great restaurants, antique shops and art galleries. For those looking for a little hustle and bustle, just a few minutes down the road are the ever popular Westwind Orchard and Arrowwood Farms where you can enjoy great outdoor and indoor dining with locally grown produce, wood-fired pizza, on premise brewed cider and alcohol, live music and other special events. The newly opened Inness hotel, restaurant and golf course is another incredible Accord destination. To experience the surrounding Hudson Valley area head to Woodstock, New Paltz, Rosendale, High Falls and Kingston- just to name a few.
