The space

The private office with super fast Starlink wifi makes it easy to work remotely, while the expansive views of the Cascade Mountains provide a peaceful and inspiring setting. "The Roost" is conveniently located just a 15-minute drive from Smith Rock State Park, making it the perfect home base for hikers, climbers, snow-goers and golfers alike.
For equestrians, the property offers a barn with two horse stalls for a small additional fee, and backs up to BLM land, providing ample opportunity for riding and exploring the area's natural beauty.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm, from pots and pans to a full range of appliances. The adjacent dining area offers ample space for enjoying meals together, with seating for six.
In the summer, you can enjoy the outdoor living space, which is perfect for grilling and soaking in the sun. The expansive deck is the perfect place to take in the breathtaking views of the Cascade Mountains. The Roost is only a 40-minute drive to downtown Bend, where you can explore the vibrant shops, restaurants, and breweries. However, with all the amenities and natural beauty surrounding the home, you may find that you never want to leave.
There are two bedrooms, one with a king bed, one with a queen bed, and an office with a sofa that converts to a full-size bed if needed.
Things to note:
• Horse stables are available for an additional $50 per horse, per night. Please let us know if you will be bringing any horses with you ahead of your booking so we can make cleaning accommodations after. We require a signed waiver for any horse stays.
• The house is on the edge of a canyon, so there are cliff edges to keep in mind with no railings. There are rock barriers, but it is a 10-12 foot drop from the tallest point around the house. Please be careful!
Guest access
Guests have access to the entirety of the house, grounds and horse barn. The garage is not accessible.
Other things to note
To book horses, please add additional guests. Any guests past 6 will be charged at $50 per night. This will cover the per night horse fee. We will require a waiver to be signed for any horse stays.
