Storybook Cottage is a sweet, serene spot that’s perfect as a peaceful home base for exploring the Lake Champlain region, located an hour from Montreal and an hour from Burlington. The cottage is small and thoughtfully laid out with everything you need to be comfortable including basic kitchen supplies, bathroom and laundry. Up a spiral staircase is the loft featuring a king size bed and downstairs is an American Leather (i.e. uber-comfortable!) pull out couch, also king size. There is a little gazebo out in the yard for morning coffee or cocktails by the apple orchard. A short stroll down the quiet dirt road will take you to Alburgh Dunes State Park - the longest sand beach in the state. Some good and very fun and friendly restaurants are nearby, along with a small well stocked store just a mile away. There are several boat launches and marinas also close by and so much to explore and enjoy around the islands.
