Shannon is a classic Outer Banks cottage situated on a corner lot in the Tuckahoe community of Duck. The semi-oceanfront location offers ocean views and easy access to the beach directly across the street. Vaulted ceilings, LVP flooring and a wall of east-facing windows in the open-concept living/dining area make the space feel bright and airy. When you're not trying out one of Duck's fabulous restaurants, your family can prepare meals at home in the recently updated kitchen with quartz countertops and bar seating for four. The primary bedroom is conveniently adjacent to the great room and includes a queen bed, private bath and deck access. Three additional bedrooms are located on the mid-level, including a second queen ensuite. There's also a den that can serve as an additional hangout space, complete with comfortable seating and TV. Outside, two levels of wraparound decks are perfect for lounging in the sun or relaxing in the shade while listening to the sound of the waves.
Tuckahoe is an ocean-to-sound community, providing guests with convenient access to both for a variety of ways to enjoy the great outdoors. The sound access includes a pier with gazebo for admiring the vast water views and picturesque sunsets. An outdoor community pool and tennis/pickelball court are also located on the soundside of the community. A multi-use path that runs through town is perfect for walking or biking to downtown Duck, just one mile north of Shannon. Set aside a day or two to browse a variety of eclectic, locally owned boutiques, galleries and eateries. Take a stroll down the boardwalk through the Waterfront Shops for unique shopping and dining experiences with a fabulous view. The Town of Duck amphitheater hosts yoga classes, concerts, children's activities and annual events including the Fourth of July Parade and Duck Jazz Festival.
