We are right on Kanawha Blvd. five blocks East of the Capitol Campus in Charleston. The river has two level sidewalks along it, that go all the way downtown. It is a 3/4 mile walk to the Capitol. A great space to get exercise, and enjoy the river scenes.
Safe, quiet neighborhood on the Blvd. along the river. The house is ideal if travelling to Charleston for an extended business stay. It is 3 stories, office space & sleeping & living accommodations. Substantial discounts for monthly stays.
Three story all brick, 1920's house. Newly renovated, wireless internet, updated and renovated bathrooms. Beautiful hardwood floors throughout. Lots of character with modern amenities.
If you are in town to conduct business transactions, there is a generous size conference table and two other work stations available for your use. You will have the entire house.
The first floor has a full size kitchen and half bath front entry hall, two stairs to the second floor, front room (living room), center room has dining/conference table and sunroom on the rear is set up as an office space.
The second floor has one office space with laptop ready space. Two bedrooms and two three piece baths (sink, shower, and toilet). We have one "folding" or "roll-away" single bed and a twin bed that are set up in the sun room of the second floor, when there are more than two couples. We can locate the single beds anywhere in the house you prefer.
The third floor is open space for the entire floor, and has a lounge with two , two seat recliner sofas, large flat screen tv, hightop table and 6 chairs, built-in sink and counter space. There is another "roll-away" bed located in the attic that we can bring out for a 7th occupant.
We provide a professional cleaning service once every two weeks for guests who are staying longer than a week. We also have a weekly linen service that drops off clean bed linens and towels, wash cloths, etc. they pick-up the soiled linen. Guests are responsible for placing used and soiled linens in the linen bag. Further details are in the house manual.
