This unique and charming country house is surrounded by rolling farmland but is only 8 miles from downtown Saratoga Springs. A long wooded driveway gives the house privacy and seclusion; it is not visible from the road. The back deck has sweeping views of farmland, while the front deck overlooks the valley. The house is situated on five acres of a former apple orchard, and many fruit-bearing trees continue to thrive on the property.
This is the perfect year-round getaway. For families interested in beginner mountains for skiing or snowboarding there is Willard Mountain in Easton (you can see the back of the mountain from the house) or West Mountain near Glens Falls, both about 30 minutes away. For more advanced skiers/boarders there is Gore Mountain, about 50 minutes away.
The house is a classic post and beam structure with an open floor plan, ideal for entertaining. A two-story cathedral ceiling opens over the kitchen and dining space. The decor is Adirondack, with numerous antiques throughout.
