Positive: The apartment was great and Edgar is very friendly & helpful. Edgar has a number of apartments available. They are in the Dutch, east Point Blanche neighbourhood right on the coastline, in a quiet, residential, safe, rocky, exposed part of the island, so it has great views towards St. Barts & Saba and you hear the waves crashing against the rocks. Perfect as we wanted a place where we could leave windows/doors open & fall asleep listening to the waves! While not luxury, the apartment is a good size, well appointed, & everything works. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a well appointed kitchen/living area, 2 private patios & parking out front. You will need a car as there aren’t any beaches, restaurants, bars, or shops within walking distance. There are 3 very friendly dogs living nearby who will great you when you arrive or leave, so please be careful of them when driving so as not to hurt them. They are wonderful & made us smile every day. There is also a large group of iguanas who live amongst the rocks below the patios, who sun themselves on a shared patio & whom the dogs love to chase given the chance! The island is small. You can drive anywhere you need to go within 30mins, however twice a day during ‘rush hour’ there are some pinch points that back up & you can get stuck for 30+ mins if you time it wrong, so be aware. You drive past the Cruise port to go anywhere, so that can get a little busy if a ship is disembarking. There are some decent bars on the Dutch side (D’s on Simpon Bay Beach was nice & laid back, Grumpy's is also good & close) but the food is better on the French side of the Island, with some great options in Orient Beach, Grand Case, & Marigot. The Dutch side uses the Netherlands Antillean Florin (NAF) & the French side the Euro, but most places take credit cards. The Dutch side has 110v with US sockets, the French 240v with euro sockets.

Summary: Wonderful and relaxing with great views and the sound of the waves.
