Summary: My 86-year-old father and I arrived with a confirmed reservation. The manager/owner asked for my driver’s license and then gave us a room. I went to an event, while my father went to bed. At 11 p.m., my father called me saying that someone was trying to enter the room and had woken him up. It turned out that the manager was upset and began yelling at me over the phone, accusing us of not having a reservation. I tried to explain that we did, but he kept insisting we had taken someone else’s room. He demanded that I leave my event immediately to meet him, threatening to throw my elderly father out on the street if I did not comply. I had no choice but to leave and deal with the situation. When I showed him proof of our reservation, instead of apologizing, he yelled at me for not informing him that he had mistakenly given us another guest’s room—even though he had been looking directly at my driver’s license during check-in. He then told me that when I returned later, I would have to check in again with the night staff, or else they would wake up my father once more. Very rude and unprofessional. I would stay away.
