This fabulous mid-century styled 3,500 square foot vacation home is perfectly situated between Sag Harbor village, East Hampton village and Bridgehampton. Recently renovated and interior-designed, the house provides a wonderful balance between nature, indoor and outdoor living, with oversized windows allowing the light to stream in from sunrise to sunset, with five separate entertaining areas. A long country drive leads to a perfectly-sited home on five acres of perfect privacy.
The open entry foyer opens into a great room, which is flooded with light and highlights the living area with 25’ vaulted ceiling. A 65” TV (disguised as art) sits above a wood-burning fireplace. The chef’s eat-in kitchen with an eight burner Viking stove, sub-zero fridge, two wine fridges and Carrera counter tops allows for simultaneous cooking and entertaining. The 12-seater dining area is perfect for evening entertaining and opens to an inviting screened in log-cabin styled screened Porch, with it’s own egg-style swing chair – a delightful place to relax in the evening without any bugs. There is a half bathroom on the main level for daytime guests. The architectural details, ceiling heights, full beams and design angles all add to the allure.
The guest wing is on the first floor, with three separate bedrooms. The large junior master has an ensuite bathroom, Queen bed, seating and a beautiful view to the pool. The two other bedrooms (Queen and Full size) share a Jack and Jill bathroom with a ground view. There is also a fully equipped laundry/wet-room room which completes the Main level.
A glass and stainless-steel staircase leads to the private Master Wing, located on the second floor and boasts a private seating area, wood burning fireplace, two walk-in closets and an office. The master bathroom is an oasis, overlooking the pool, with radiant floor heating, a large soaking tub overlooking the pool and a standing shower/steam room for those recovery moments.
The grounds offer five acres to relax and explore with two very separate areas, the luxurious Pool and blue stone patio as well as the Great Lawn. The Pool is an oversized 20’ x 50’ heated gunite pool that has ample outdoor entertaining spaces, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen station with Viking appliances and outdoor refrigerator. The ‘Richard Schulz’ designed 1966 Collection outdoor furniture and DWR Globe lights add to the mid-century feel. The Great Lawn has a custom children’s tree house and swing set, adult and children’s picnic tables and an oversized firepit (inspired by the Parker Palm Springs)
The whole property has an impressive outdoor lighting system, that adds to summer evening entertainment experience in the home.
