The home is a charming traditional farmhouse originally built in 1873 that has undergone a high end restoration that embraces its history while adding luxuries of modern life like gig internet and a heated indoor pool exclusive to our guests.
The home is comfortably furnished, decorated, and well stocked for all ages, for up to 10 guests. Contactless check in with electronic locks gives a warm and easy welcome.
Come enjoy over 3 pastoral acres with organic fruit and nut trees that attract birds, squirrels, deer, and bunnies, situated mid way between the vibrant communities of historic Hillsborough and the Duke campus area in Durham, NC, just 11 minutes to either destination, and a stones throw to Chapel Hill.

This home makes a great base camp for exploring the triangle or having a peaceful and fun staycation. Under 5 minutes to Eno River State Park suspension bridge trail, 7 minutes to Broken Spoke Farm or golfing, 11 minutes to Duke Campuses, Duke Hospital, the Museum of Life and Science, and the Hillsboro River Walk, 20 minutes to RTP, and 25 minutes to RDU airport or UNC Chapel Hill.
In your down time, enjoy swimming in the climate controlled (your air temperature choice), geothermal heated (~86 degrees in the water) indoor saltwater lane pool ALL year round, roasting marshmallows around the fire pit, and watching the woodland animals graze from the porch swing and rocking chairs.
Bond with your group playing the provided frisbee golf and corn hole on the expansive lawn, or setting a picnic, flying kites, or coming out at night for the amazing dark sky star gazing.
The kitchen is well outfitted, with place settings for 10, coffee and wine glasses, standard cook and bake wares, premium appliances including a gas range, wall oven and microwave, dishwasher, toaster oven, pod + grounds coffee maker, blender, rice cooker, slow cooker, hand mixer, and plenty of counter space. It is well stocked for most culinary experiences you may want. If you need anything else, please contact us ahead of your stay so we can try to accommodate you.
New, top of the line beds, high thread count Pima cotton bedding, plush Egyptian cotton towels, pool towels, and black make-up towels are provided.
The living room, dining room, and screened porch each comfortably seat ten, so your group can connect together for meals, games, movies, swimming, or good old fashioned conversation.
The living room has a 65 inch Samsung Curve, and all tv’s have house accounts for Netflix, Hulu, and HBO that stay logged in for ease, if curling up with a movie is on the agenda.
The pool house is just steps from the main house with a full bathroom, the screened porch, and an attached two car carport.
Gig high speed internet with mesh to cover both buildings for those that might need to remote work or join online school, electronic coded locks on every exterior door, two nest thermostats, new hvac systems in both buildings, ceiling fans in every bedroom and living-room, two ring video/audio doorbells (at front and side exterior doors only), 4K smart tv’s in every bedroom and the living room, a whole house surge protector, full sized laundry, a tankless water heater, and a WHOLE HOUSE water softener/purifier/uv light (no extra fridge filter provided or required) to give the home the modern amenities that make life safer and easier.
We have a high chair, pack n play, games, puzzles, books, spices, soaps, detergents, and starter paper products. Basic cleaning supplies to remain comfortable during your stay are also provided.
There is room to park up to 6 cars, and an RV is welcome.
Occupancy is limited to 12
guests on the property, and 10 guest or less overnight. NO EVENTS OR PARTIES PLEASE. While the property feels isolated, sound travels and we must respect the neighbors. Please help keep our family and others with severe allergies and asthma safe by not bringing any animals or pets on the property. Please no smoking, glitter, or confetti. Swimming is at your own risk. Rental agreement is agreed to by booking.

PRIMARY BEDROOM- downstairs king bed, 55in tv, attached office with desk, twin daybed, and wheeled cot, along with an en-suite full bath with stand up shower, claw foot tub, and two vanities. A light-up makeup vanity table with a stool is located in the walk in closet/dressing room.
GUEST ROOM 1- downstairs queen bed, 43in tv, direct access to full downstairs hall bath.
GUEST ROOM 2- upstairs queen bed, makeup table/desk, 43in tv, shares full upstairs hall bath with guest room 3.
GUEST ROOM 3- upstairs two twin beds, 43in tv, shares full upstairs hall bath with guest room 2.
