Enjoy a classic New Hampshire lakefront vacation house. A 3000 sq. ft home on a dead end road with only a few neighbors and surrounded by a hundred acres of woods. Enjoy 300 feet of lake frontage with a sandy beach facing south on this small quiet lake. Sunfish and small boats included or bring your own. Perfect for swimming, sailing, kayak, paddleboard, fishing or lounging on a large float. A basketball hoop, fire pit and lots of kids toys are ready for your use.
Shopping and activities abound in North Conway which is 30 minutes north. Lake Winnipesaukee is 30 minutes west and there are several others closer for boating, fishing or water skiing. The Town of Freedom, NH is ideally located to access the many lakes and mountains of NH. We are one hour west from Portland Maine or two hours north from Boston, Ma. Owner is local and available for support or help locating activities or restaurants.
The house is set up for eight people. There is a spacious living room with open concept kitchen and dining room. The Master Bedroom is very roomy and located on the first floor. There is a king bed. It has a sitting area with TV and a fireplace and a private bathroom. The Second Bedroom (12'x24') is on the lower level and also offers plenty of light and room. There is a queen bed. There is a bathroom on that level. The Third Bedroom (12'x24') is on the first floor and has two custom bunk beds, sleeping 4 total. There is another bathroom across the hallway. A game room is on the lower level set up with a small bar, air hockey table and knee hockey rink. Laundry room on first floor. The house has lots of windows and sliding glass doors for views and indoor/outdoor living. There is a two car garage.
Loon Lake is small by lake standards but the perfect size for quiet family living. No jet-skis or fast motorboats are allowed! there is a State "Wake Speed" limit on the entire lake. The few small boats that fish on the lake often just use electric trolling motors. The lake is populated with swimmers, small sailboats, kayaks, paddleboards, some beavers and a family of Common Loons that give the lake it's name. If you have a large boat, bring it on a trailer. Freedom is minutes from launches on Ossipee Lake, Silver Lake or Conway Lake. Lake Winnipesaukee is 30 minutes away and Sebago Lake is 45 minutes.
