Set in Thornton Gore in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, this four-season log house is a rustic and comfortable get-away. Because of its rural location, guests will not find cable TV or Internet access here. Specific cell phone carriers may allow you to reach the rest of the world if you desire. The house sits halfway up a grassy knoll, surrounded by open-field farmland and the White Mountain National Forest. Johnson Brook runs next to the dirt road. The house has an open kitchen-dining area, a large living room with cathedral ceiling and a field-stone fireplace, now with a glass-door wood-burning insert.

The North Country Center for the Arts has a program of exciting plays and musicals in their home at Jean's Playhouse. Summer and Fall season attractions include Zip lines at Alpine Adventures, glacier caves at Lost River Resort, the famous Clark's Trading Post with the famous bear show and Wolfman.
