This location is teaming with wildlife - Wood Ducks, Great Blue Herons, Kingfishers, Bald Eagles and even Loons- hence the name. This tranquil Butler, TN retreat offers a dock with deep water access for boating and fishing. At night, stargaze by the fire pit or play ring toss under the twinkle lights.
If full sun or covered deck are your pleasure both of ours are hard to leave. Once inside you will find a cook’s kitchen, comfortable open living spaces as well as private bedrooms retreats. Guests enjoy a tub/showers, nature books, binoculars for bird watching, board games, puzzles, corn hole, Kayaks with adult life jackets and oasis pad.
Our cove lends itself to early morning paddling and opportunities for lake cruising or floating off the dock. Swim, float, paddle board, kayak, and fish right from your deep water dock. Watauga Lake offers year round fishing for bass, trout, walleye and carp. From June through September, the lake is refreshing and ready for your water activities. Hike the Appalachian Trail which crosses the dam at the end of the lake, bike the Virginia Creeper Trail in nearby Damascus, VA or enjoy the Watauga Lake Winery and Villa Nove Vineyards, only minutes away.
