This delightful lakefront home on the southernmost island of Lake Champlain has a private dock and stunning lake views for up to 10 (six adults maximum, please) guests to feel right at home!
Sitting in a remote location on a sparsely-populated island, you'll find peace and serenity among forests and over 200 miles of coastline. Still, all the essentials can be found a short distance away in the small town of South Hero. This quiet residential neighborhood is perfect for families (please note that quiet hours will be strictly enforced).
The home itself is cozy with a bright and rustic design. In the main room, you'll find comfy furniture, a wood-burning fireplace, board games, and a flatscreen TV with a DVD player (cable and WiFi included). A sunny dining table will fit six for a meal by the window, and a piano nearby is ready to be played by the musician in your group. Heat in this home is supplied by a convection stove in the basement and a wood stove on the main level.
An open, fully equipped kitchen provides plenty of counter space and all you need to make your favorite dishes, plus a dishwasher for easy clean-up.
Outside, you'll enjoy a pleasant deck overlooking the lake with patio furniture and a firepit at the corner. Lounge chairs are prime for watching a sunset with your feet in the luscious lawn, and there's plenty of space for lawn games if you plan ahead. A flight of metal stairs leads down to the private dock for swimming and fishing (please note that there are no guarantees that the dock will be available to use, as the water level changes seasonally).
With four bedrooms and two full baths, this home will accommodate up to 10 guests (six adults maximum, please). Two rooms with lake views will each sleep a small family - one with a wide twin-size canopy bed and a twin-size trundle, and the other with a queen bed and two twins (one is a trundle). The third room features two full-size futons, and the fourth has a double bed. There's a full bath on each floor, and all linens are provided.
A private washer/dryer allows for freshening laundry and packing light.
This is the perfect getaway for a large family or a couple smaller ones traveling together - enjoy the tranquility of this private home with your lake access, or head to nearby White's Beach for a friendly game of beach volleyball. You might pay a visit to Snow Farm Winery to taste their delicious wines or travel to Castles Island for a unique sight of miniature castles.
