Welcome to Greyview- a historic and charming cottage in the heart of Ocean Point, on the cusp of Boothbay Harbor. Originally built in 1895, this attractive home was once home to the original Ocean Point General Store, now fully renovated from top-to-bottom and ready to be the perfect Atlantic Coast getaway with friends and family. Ocean Point is one of the most awe-inspiring spots along the rocky coast of Maine, inviting visitors to take in epic views of the crashing waves and nearby islands. It's a short walk down Shore Road to Grimes Cove Beach and Ocean Point Walk and lookout. Here you can enjoy swimming, collecting treasures, or picnic on the sun drenched rocks. A few steps in another direction will take you to Ocean Point Inn and the Ocean Point Community Dock for a refreshing drink, dinner or boat watching. You can also book an enjoyable harbor cruise or a fishing trip right from the dock. The Ocean Point Colony Association Clubhouse, tennis courts, and fields are located right next door to the cottage. The East Boothbay General Store is also close by, and is known throughout the region for their amazing breakfast pizzas, pastries, sandwiches, and more.
This three-story cottage offers scenic views and summertime adventure on every side. While it's set back from the waterfront, the home boasts incredible ocean views from the beautifully designed wraparound porch, the primary bedroom, and third-floor areas. The third-floor viewing room boasts a large picture window, sitting area and window seats to enjoy and take in the breathtaking sunrise and sunsets, complete with telescope. Relax in the sun or find a shady spot on the spacious porch and fire up the grill for a barbecue friends and family at the outdoor dining area.
Original, wide-plank pine floors and wood-beamed ceilings embrace the history of the home while updated amenities and bright decor provide the comfort and convenience of a modern vacation home.
