The Shire Apartment – In the Heart of Delhi, NY
Welcome to The Shire Apartment, a spacious and stylish two-bedroom retreat located directly above O’Neill’s Shire Pub in the village of Delhi. With room to comfortably sleep up to six guests, this is an ideal home base for friends, families with older teens, or couples visiting the area for events, college visits, or local adventures.
The apartment features two bedrooms—each with a queen bed—plus a sleeper sofa in the living room. A full bathroom, open living space, and updated kitchen complete the setup, making it easy to settle in for a weekend or longer stay.
Please note: this apartment is located above a working pub and is not suitable for children, due to stairs, sound, and proximity to an active nightlife venue.
The Shire Apartment is the only residence in the building and sits above the well-loved O’Neill’s Shire Pub. While most evenings are quiet, guests may hear some sound during special events like live music, trivia nights, or karaoke. The pub operates Sunday through Thursday until 9 PM and stays open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
The apartment is newly renovated with all new furnishings, appliances, and thoughtful touches throughout. You’ll find fast WiFi, Smart TV, comfy beds, and a fully stocked kitchen for cooking or dining in.
Ample parking is available in the lot behind the building. Two flights of stairs lead to your private entry, with no shared interior spaces—just you and your group.
Located in the heart of Delhi, the apartment is walkable to restaurants, cafes, shops, and the weekly Farmers Market. SUNY Delhi, The College Golf Course, wedding venues, and hiking spots are just minutes away by car.

A vehicle is required to get around. There are no ride-share services (Uber/Lyft) or reliable taxis in this rural area.
Winter Travel Advisory (October–April)
Delaware County is mountainous and beautiful—especially in the winter—but snow and ice are common. Please plan accordingly.
We strongly recommend:
AWD, FWD, or 4WD vehicles
Winter or all-season tires with solid tread
Avoiding 2WD or RWD vehicles in snowy or icy conditions

Check-In and Check-Out: Plan your travel on our listed 4PM arrival and 11AM departure times. Changes in times may be available for an additional fee if possible. Please give at least 24 hours notice for requests, last minute requests may not be possible as cleaning and service schedules are planned in advance.

- No parties. Only the number of guests on the reservation should be in the apartment. Let Host know of daytime guests.
- No smoking. If you must smoke, do so outdoors only and extinguish when done then put in the garbage.
- Dogs are allowed with approval and additional fee.
