Guests will stay in lavish handmade canvas rustic cottages (glamping tents) w/o modern distraction (no power or running water in the glamping area) allowing them to fully unplug experiencing Waldeinsamkeit ("solitude of the forest"), while nestled in a park like setting deep in our farm with Chinese Medicinal Herb Gardens at the edge of old growth woods on the drumlins of the northern Finger Lakes perched at the banks of Black Brook Creek overlooking fields of lavender and pastures (our inspiration) – a few farm animals may even visit. No roads in site - Guests will be able to enjoy the sounds of nature and view the stars w/o light pollution.****New**** Float down Black Brook Creek in our lazy river section. Hop in the creek at the south ford and float to the Glamping Area. Floaties provided. Float and play in the water at your own risk - no lifeguard on duty.Wander the wooded paths over 80 acres to find surprises tucked in along the way, fire pits/conversation areas, yard games and more. A spa like bathhouse with modern conveniences such as electric and hot water awaits a short walk through the towering canopy of stunning trees where guests can enjoy a hot shower. Adjacent is 'The Gathering Place' to recharge those modern devices, enjoy a farm fresh breakfast or grab a quick snack.The tents have queen size 4-poster beds with cloud like curtained canopies, opulent linens, cozy carpets under foot and areas to lounge. Tin chandeliers and lanterns, made by my husband's father - a white smith in his retired years, with battery operated candles along with comfortable furnishings will provide a romantic glow. Many of the furnishings come from my in-law's extensive collection. Vent free heaters are provided for cold nights and rechargeable fans for the warm nights. Most tents have a deck on the water's edge.We are a Bed and Breakfast. Currently, we are offering made to order breakfast sandwiches plus a Continental Breakfast with fresh baked goods in the morning, local yogurt, hard-boiled eggs from our girls, cereal, protein bars, oatmeal, fruit, coffee, cold brew coffee, tea, milk, orange juice and more. We provide fresh eggs and the makings for pancakes, including local Maple syrup. For our guests' comfort, you can always find a snack or something for a light meal in the temp Gathering Area Kitchen.
