Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Incredible views. Perfect yard setting for the evenings and mornings to have quiet time. Great kitchen! So easy to cook and eat together. Easy to get into and to leave. It was also conveniently located to Bozeman (12 minutes from downtown) and a grocery store (7-10 minutes). Loved the cozy rec room downstairs! Appreciated the supply of epsom salt for the bath. The ambiance and decor of the house was pleasant. Also, the flow of the space worked really well for a group! We never felt like sound traveled too far. It was so cute to have the chicken and farm animals around. We got to feed the chickens some of our vegetable waste, and it was great!

Negative: The beds were very uncomfortable. They were all overly soft. Several of us opted to sleep on hard floors because the beds were so uncomfortable. The hot water also ran out easily, after two showers in a row. (These were not excessively long showers.) Additionally the shower heads had bad pressure, and mineral buildup on them affected how well they worked. There are no blinds or light filtering curtains, making sleep difficult. The sheer curtains don’t help with keeping the rooms dark, especially from 4-6am. Pulling out of the driveway was also difficult. The bushes create a blind spot, and it would help if they were cut back a bit. The window units were also quite noisy. We tried not to run them, but needed to occasionally because the oven heated up the kitchen and dining area. We also felt surprised to find out people were in the house with us, in an enclosed portion of the property. We could occasionally hear them coming and going. They didn’t bother us, but we didn’t realize that would be a factor when we booked the property, so communication about that in the listing would have helped.
