Beautifully situated on 22 acres of woodlands, ponds, and trees, this three-bedroom home showcases the natural splendor of the Lakes Region of Maine and the Mt. Washington Valley.
Designed and built by artists, this two-story house sits on a dead-end road outside the town of Lovell, where you'll find privacy, abundant wildlife, and dark night skies for stargazing. The property is just south of Kezar Lake (with a canoe and kayak provided for your use) and close to the Saco River, local hiking trails, and White Mountain National Forest.
Both the setting and the home reflect the owner's background as a stonemason and landscape designer, with stone details inside and out and several outdoor gathering spaces overlooking the forest and ponds. Bring coffee and breakfast outside to the patio table, barbecue in the afternoons on the gas grill, and find warmth beneath the stars in the private hot tub or around the firepit.
The house was inspired by the design principles of "A Pattern Language," with a courtyard conservatory at its center filled with lush plants, windows into the surrounding rooms, and a wood-fired brick oven. You'll have seven gathering spaces to choose from when seeking relaxation, whether that means cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, playing cards on the sun porch, streaming movies in the living room, or reading in the den. Additional features of the house include three cozy bedrooms, high-speed WiFi, and a washer/dryer for your convenience.

Parking notes: There is free parking for 4 vehicles.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
